iQOO has revealed the rollout timeline for OriginOS 7 in India, confirming when eligible smartphones will receive the Android 17-based software update. The rollout will begin with the iQOO 15 by the end of October 2026 and continue until February 2027, covering devices across the company’s flagship, Neo and Z series.

The announcement was shared by iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya, who outlined the release schedule for supported smartphones. The update will bring a redesigned interface, improved multitasking and new AI-powered features. However, the software will not reach every eligible device at the same time, as iQOO plans to distribute it in phases.

iQOO has also clarified that carrier-exclusive models are not included in the announced timeline. Their software updates may follow separate schedules determined by the respective carriers.

The announced India rollout covers 13 smartphones across three product families. The eligible models include the iQOO 15, iQOO 15R, iQOO 13 and iQOO 12 in the number series; the iQOO Neo 10, Neo 10R and Neo 9 Pro in the Neo series; and six models in the Z series.

The Z series devices included in the schedule are the iQOO Z11 5G, Z11x 5G, Z11xa 5G, Z10 5G, Z10R 5G and Z10x 5G.

The company has not included every older iQOO smartphone in this rollout announcement. Owners of devices outside the list will need to wait for further confirmation about software support.

OriginOS 7 Update to Bring AI Features and Multitasking Improvements

OriginOS 7 is based on Android 17 and introduces several changes to the software experience on compatible Vivo and iQOO smartphones. The update focuses on interface refinements, productivity tools, AI-assisted functions and improved connectivity between devices.

One of the key changes is an updated interface with smoother animations, new themes and dynamic wallpapers. These changes are intended to make navigation and everyday interactions feel more fluid.

The update also introduces improved multitasking through Origin Workbench, which supports multiple applications in separate windows. AI Search is designed to help users find files by describing what they are looking for, while Vivo’s Jovi assistant can summarise documents and assist with tasks.

Other reported additions include AI call answering, call summaries and Snap & Go. The latter can identify relevant travel or event details in screenshots and suggest adding them to a calendar.

OriginOS 7 will also bring cross-device features, including file-sharing tools and support for using compatible Vivo smartphones as webcams for PCs. Security-related additions are designed to flag malicious applications, unsafe links and spam calls. The availability of individual features may vary depending on the smartphone model.

iQOO 15 OriginOS 7 Preview Programme

Before the wider stable rollout, iQOO opened an OriginOS 7 closed beta programme for the iQOO 15 in India. The preview programme allows selected users to test the Android 17-based software and submit feedback before the broader release.

According to the official iQOO community instructions, users who have successfully enrolled can check for the preview software under Settings and System Upgrade once it becomes available to them. The beta programme is separate from the stable rollout schedule announced for other eligible devices.

Users considering beta software should back up their data and be aware that test builds can contain bugs or stability issues. The official iQOO OriginOS 7 Preview Programme page provides programme-specific information.

For existing iQOO owners, the stable update will become available according to the rollout window assigned to their smartphone. Users can check the System Update section in Settings when their device is due to receive the software.
