Oppo has launched the Reno 16T in China as the latest addition to its Reno 16 series. The smartphone brings a 200-megapixel primary camera, MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset, a 6,700mAh battery and a 120Hz AMOLED display.
The Reno 16T is positioned as a premium smartphone with a relatively compact 6.32-inch display, up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. While the handset has gone official in China, Oppo has not yet confirmed its launch in India.
Oppo Reno 16T Price
The Oppo Reno 16T price in China starts at CNY 3,699, which is approximately ₹53,000. This variant comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model costs CNY 4,499, roughly ₹64,000. The phone is available in Heartbeat, Galaxy Purple and Moonlight Black colour options.
These are Chinese prices and should not be treated as the expected India price. Oppo has yet to announce India-specific pricing or availability.
Display and Design
The Reno 16T features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a 1,216 x 2,640-pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports 1.07 billion colours and has a reported peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits under the standard specification.
The phone measures around 8.36mm thick and weighs up to 191 grams. Its compact dimensions make the Reno 16T smaller than many current smartphones that use displays measuring 6.6 inches or more.
Performance and Software
Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset. It is paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
The Reno 16T runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC and USB Type-C. The phone also gets an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
200MP Camera Setup
The camera system is one of the main highlights of the Oppo Reno 16T. It has a triple rear camera setup comprising a 200MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera.
The telephoto camera supports 3.5x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. On the front, Oppo has fitted a 50MP autofocus selfie camera.
The rear cameras support 4K video recording at up to 60fps, along with features such as HDR and dual-view video.
6,700mAh Battery and 80W Charging
The Reno 16T packs a 6,700mAh battery and supports 80W wired fast charging. The large battery is notable considering the phone’s relatively compact display.
Oppo also provides multiple levels of dust and water protection, with the handset supporting ratings that include IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K.

Oppo Reno 16T India Launch
Reno Oppo has not announced an India launch date for the Reno 16T. The smartphone is currently confirmed for the Chinese market, so details such as its Indian price, availability and launch date remain unknown.
The situation is also different from the standard Reno 16, which is available in India. Oppo has not confirmed whether the Reno 16T will be introduced as a separate model in the country.
